College of Fishery Science

College of Fishery Science, Nagpur was established on 16th October, 2006 with an aim to create qualified and trained manpower in the field of Fisheries. Our department is providing efficient technical and professional man power for the field of Fishing Technology and Fisheries Engineering. More specifically the college will provide quality education in core and emerging disciplines of fisheries science and will conduct basis, strategic, applied and operational research in fisheries, aquaculture and related science. The college will also lead the formulation and implementation of effective extension education and outreach programme.

To ensure fisheries and aquaculture based sustainable rural livelihood and food & nutritional security for all. To enable economic utilization of the cultivated and cultivable aquatic resources in the inland and offshore areas of the state. To act as a nodal agency for scientific technology transfer of freshwater aquaculture development in the region.
